I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
